This is the normal way to start, and the only one you can complete on your own. You press **Create workspace**
once in Store Syria, and Store Syria does both halves of the setup for you: it creates your Lynomia Chat
workspace, then connects your store's data to that workspace directly, server to server.

**Nothing is pasted.** There is no token to copy, no connection code, no store address to type. Older
instructions asked merchants to paste an integration token; that is a different, fallback route, and the token
it uses is issued by Store Syria's support team rather than by you.

## What you need first

- A **Store Syria store**, and a Store Syria role that lets you manage Lynomia Chat. Connecting commits the
whole store, so Store Syria offers the button only to people who can make that decision.
- A **plan that includes store data**. Without it the workspace is still created, but the half that connects
  your store is refused.
- A store that is **not already connected** to another Lynomia Chat workspace.
- **A Communication & Marketing section in your Store Syria menu.** If it is not there, Lynomia Chat is not
switched on for your installation, and that is not something you can change from your store.

You do not need a Lynomia Chat account beforehand — this path makes one. If you already have a workspace with
your team and conversations in it, use
[connect a Lynomia Chat workspace you already have](store-syria-connect-an-existing-workspace) instead.

## Steps

1. In **Store Syria**, open **Communication & Marketing → Overview**.
2. Under **Create a new workspace**, press **Create workspace**. The card beside it, **Connect an existing
workspace**, is the other path and needs a code — see
[connect a Lynomia Chat workspace you already have](store-syria-connect-an-existing-workspace).
3. Store Syria asks Lynomia Chat to create your workspace, then connects your store's data to it — both on
its own, with no second confirmation from you.
4. Read the state the page settles on, and the separate **Store data** line beneath it.

## What each state means

| What Store Syria shows | What it means | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| **Create a new workspace** and **Connect an existing workspace**, side by side | nothing is set up for this store yet | press **Create workspace** in the first card |
| **Setting up your workspace** | the workspace creation did not finish, and nothing was lost | press **Continue setup** to carry on from where it stopped |
| **Connected** | the workspace exists and Store Syria has nothing left to do | open Lynomia Chat and check |
| **Store data**, shown separately | whether your orders reached the workspace | if it is not connected, see below |

## The two halves can finish apart

Creating the workspace and connecting the store data are **two separate requests**, not one. Store Syria sends
them one after the other, and the second is best-effort: if it does not succeed, the first is not undone.

So the ordinary outcome of a half-finished setup is a healthy Lynomia Chat workspace that simply has no store
data in it yet. It does not need rebuilding, and connecting again from scratch is the wrong fix. Press the
button on Store Syria's **Store data** line — **Try again** after a refused attempt, or
**Complete store data setup** if it was never run — or read
[Store Syria store data did not connect](store-syria-data-did-not-connect), which sets out every reason the
second half is refused, in the words you will see.

Once the **Store data** line is connected, Store Syria offers **Verify connection** beside it. It re-runs the
connection rather than reporting what it already knows, so pressing it is safe and cannot create a second
store — but it is a re-check of a connection that is already working, and it is not offered while the store
half is unfinished.

## How to tell it worked

1. Open Lynomia Chat from Store Syria — see
[open Lynomia Chat from Store Syria](store-syria-open-lynomia-from-store-syria) — or sign in normally.
2. Go to **Settings → Commerce.** Your Store Syria store is listed, and **Active**. This is the real test.
3. Open a conversation from someone who has bought from you. The **Commerce** section shows the store customer
they were matched to and that customer's latest orders.

One contact with an empty Commerce section does not mean the connection failed. Matching is exact, on a
normalized email address or a phone number in international form, and names are never used. Guest checkouts are
matched the same way as registered customers.

## Who can do this

Starting the connection is a Store Syria action, taken by someone whose Store Syria role lets them manage
Lynomia Chat. **Nobody outside your business has to act:** this is the one path that finishes without Store
Syria support, and there is no approval to wait on. Once the workspace exists, disabling, disconnecting and
replacing credentials are **administrator** actions in Lynomia Chat, recorded in the audit log. Any agent who
can see a conversation sees the Store Syria orders in it.

## Adding the people who answer messages

The new workspace starts with one administrator, and it is **your store's owner** rather than whoever
pressed the button. If a colleague set this up for you, they do not become the administrator by having done
so; they get their own user, as an agent, the first time they open Lynomia Chat. Add the rest of your
colleagues in Lynomia Chat the usual way — see [invite your team](invite-your-team) — giving each of them a
role as you do.

They then reach Lynomia Chat by signing in normally with the address you invited, or through the shortcut in
Store Syria. The shortcut opens Lynomia Chat for the person pressing it, so it only works for a colleague who
already has a login in this workspace.

## Limits

- **Read-only.** Lynomia Chat reads Store Syria and never writes to it. There is no order action for Store
  Syria, and none is planned.
- **Which plan the new workspace starts on is not promised here.** If that plan does not include store data,
the workspace is created and the store half is refused, with the plan given as the reason.
- **One store, one workspace.** A store already connected elsewhere is refused rather than moved.
- **Only the latest 5 orders per customer** are shown, so every figure is visible, not lifetime. Nothing is
imported; the store is read when the data is needed. See
[what connecting a store gives you](commerce-overview).
- **A workspace created this way has no Disconnect button** on the Store Syria connection, because it is
managed from the side that created it. Disconnecting the store itself is still yours to do.
- What each platform can tell Lynomia Chat differs, and is kept in one place:
  [what each platform supports](commerce-provider-support).

## If it does not work

**The workspace exists but no store data arrived.** This is the expected shape of a half-finished setup. Press
the button on Store Syria's **Store data** line — **Try again**, or **Complete store data setup** if it was
never run — and if it is refused again, read
[Store Syria store data did not connect](store-syria-data-did-not-connect).

**Store Syria gives a reason for refusing the store half.** Your plan does not include store data, the store
is already connected to another workspace, there is no room left in your plan, or the store rejected the
credentials. Each has its own fix, and they are all in
[Store Syria store data did not connect](store-syria-data-did-not-connect).

**It stays on "Setting up your workspace".** The workspace creation did not finish. Nothing was lost — press
**Continue setup**, and it carries on from where it stopped rather than starting over. If an attempt is still
running, Store Syria says so and asks you to wait a moment and refresh.
