SMS
SMS reaches a customer who has no app open and no data connection, and in the team inbox it behaves like every other channel: assignment, labels, notes and reports all apply.
You supply:
your Twilio or Bandwidth account.
What the SMS channel carries
Your own provider account
Connect Twilio or Bandwidth with your own credentials. You keep the commercial relationship with the provider and the number stays yours.
Two-way conversations, not just alerts
A reply from a customer opens or continues a conversation in the inbox, so SMS is a channel your team answers rather than a one-way notification pipe.
One-off campaigns
Once an SMS inbox exists you can send a one-off campaign to a chosen audience and read per-recipient delivery reporting.
Delivery status
The provider's delivery state is shown on the message, and a failure carries the provider's own error rather than a generic one.
Worth knowing
Message charges are billed to you by Twilio or Bandwidth, not by Lynomia. Bandwidth inbound messages additionally need the callback credentials you set when connecting the inbox.
